Graham Crackers: 31 1/2 weeks

Okay - so I was suppose to post on Sunday I know... but I wanted to wait until today b/c we were having another ultrasound to measure how big the babies are. So I know you all will forgive me!

We just got home from the doctor's office and here's the stats:

Baby A - 4.0 lbs

Baby B - 4.1 lbs

Baby C - 3.10-3.12 lbs (her head is squished right now between her brother and the placenta wall so that affected her measurement slightly)

But anyway those are wonderful measurements! We couldn't be more pleased! If you add them all up that's almost 12 lbs of baby! WHEW! The doctor and the ultrasound tech were very impressed at how well things continue to be going and that makes me very happy.

Getting the measurements wasn't an easy task either. We have a wonderful ultrasound tech who is very experienced and she was going round and round trying to figure out whose legs belonged to what torso and how each of the babies are laying. We never did exactly figure out how they are all configured in there, but we do know that they have shifted since the last ultrasound. All of their heads are now together on my right side - we know that for sure. We think that Baby A kind of goes down from there, Baby C goes up and over and Baby B goes across the middle! But it really doesn't matter b/c they will be taken by C-section anyway. It was crazy trying to keep up with watching the ultrasound screen. Feet and legs everywhere!

They also measured my cervix and it's holding up great. Because nobody's head is down and putting pressure on it, the cervix actually grew some from the last time. It's now measuring at 4.7. The doctor said that b/c it's in such great shape that he expects for me to be pregnant for another couple of weeks at least. That's good news for the babies, but that just means I'm going to need your prayers for strength and endurance even more because some days I'm almost to my breaking point. Other days I'm still in pretty good spirits - it's just touch and go on a daily basis.

Even still Nate & I remain thankful for all the blessings throughout the pregnancy and this whole process has made us even more aware of God's amazing comfort and care. He has been with us all along during the pregnancy and I know the when the babies are here screaming in unison in at 3AM that He will be here helping to soothe them then too.

So our next step is for another Non-Stress test at the hospital this Saturday. We'll hopefully have better luck this time getting them to all cooperate and be monitored at the same time. And after that... well we'll just have to wait and see what happens. Everything has been so great so far and we just continue to pray that things will remain that way in the next few weeks.

Some news on Owen...

He's been great - still a trooper here around the house helping out whenever he can. He has been able to feel the babies kicking more often and even felt them having hiccups the other day again! He talks to them a little more and keeps asking when Easter is going to be here because we have told him since the beginning that the babies would be out of mommy's tummy around Easter time. He's getting very excited.

Last week he had an extra special treat at preschool - Mamaw Wendy and her friend Eleanor came to help with Hospital day at preschool. All of the kids got their height, weight and blood pressure taken. They also visited seven other stations that showed them things like telling the difference between poisons and food, what a doctor's visit is like, xrays and suturing to name a few. They had a lot of fun and he enjoyed showing his Mamaw Wendy off to all of his friends.
